BlueSky
Bluesky, a decentralized social platform envisioned by former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, was developed alongside Twitter. It features a user interface similar to Twitter, offering algorithmic customization, a federated structure, and moderation tailored to specific communities. By November 2024, Bluesky had exceeded 20 million users. Its rapid growth was driven in part by controversial policy shifts at X, including the removal of the block feature and permitting third-party companies to use users’ posts to train AI, propelling the app to the top of the U.S. App Store charts.
