Have you ever wanted to get to know the people making all the magic happen? Well here is your chance!
Today we want to introduce you to our leading lady, Jenny Stradling. Jenny is our CEO, but she also focuses on SEO and client website and marketing strategy development.
We asked Jenny to answer a few questions so you can get to know her better. Below are her responses.
So…How long have you been employed at Eminent SEO?
Chris and I started the company in October of 2009.
How would you please describe your job (in a nutshell)?
I look at my job as 3 different roles: CEO, SEO and strategist. As CEO I oversee the company as a whole, this includes financials, legal, employees, systems, tools, partners and clients. As SEO I oversee the Eminent SEO website SEO as well as the client base, ensuring the SEO work is effective. As a strategist I develop custom website and marketing strategies for our own sites as well as our clients.
What might surprise your friends or colleagues to learn about your job?
No task is too small for me. I write checks, wash bathroom towels, do the dishes, get the mail, deposit checks, shop for toilet paper… Media tries to glamorize business ownership, but the truth is when you own your own business everything is your responsibility.
What about Jenny outside of Eminent SEO?
What do you do when you aren’t working?
Almost ALL of my non-work time is spent at home with my family. I have 4 kids ranging in age from teenager to newborn so they require a lot of time and attention. We enjoy cooking, eating, watching movies and doing homework together. Occasionally I will have time to enjoy a bath, glass of wine and a good book – that is my happy place.
What is your favorite lunch food?
I love food… I could eat just about anywhere. My ideal lunch, however, would be sushi and sashimi. I could eat seafood every single day.
Can you read music?
Yes, to a certain extent. My mom is an amazing pianist who taught for 40 years. I took a few piano lessons and learned the basics, but piano wasn’t my thing. I took voice lessons and reading music came in handy when learning new music. Singing was always my first musical love.
Let’s Get Philosophical…
If you were reincarnated as an animal/drink/ice cream flavor, what would it be?
Although being reincarnated as a sexy drink sounds hilarious – I think I would have to say a dolphin. I have always felt connected to them since I was a child. They are so smart – they even use more of their brains than we do. Plus they are beautiful creatures. I think it would be a good life.
Is your glass half full or half empty?
Half full of course. The entire core of who I am has to do with believing in the best. It’s not just about having a positive outlook, but about knowing everything we want and need is ours for the taking. There is more than enough for us all. You have to believe that.
If you had a warning label, what would yours say?
Warning: Will become irritable if not fed on a regular basis. Also, needs coffee in the morning in order to function. 😛
